I try to capture personality and a likeness. I’ve drawn at places as diverse as the World AG Expo (Tulare, CA), Cartoon Art Museum (SF, CA), Sheraton Waikiki (Hawaii), Harrah's (Reno, Nevada), cruises on SFBay and the house next door. In 1991 “Texas Tim” said people will remember you more if you have a catchy moniker. Shortly after that I started signing my work "Big Al". I’ve been a member of ISCA since 1994. In 1996 I won a "Silver Nosey" award at the NCN's annual convention in Houston, Texas. In 2000 "Atomic Jenny" was voted one of the Top Ten Caricatures of the year. My most recent work inspired by the female form is a mix of figure drawing, caricature and pin-up. They've been shown in Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, Pleasanton and Hollywood. When not drawing at events or working on pinups I keep my eyes and pencils sharp by occasionally attending figure workshops in Livermore, Pittsburg, SF and Sacramento.
