2 solid packed hours of drawing this afternoon at a 1st Birthday.
So busy not much time to take pictures of my work.
This was the 2nd to last caricature portrait of the afternoon.

03-24-11 Corporate Event, Blackhawk Automotive Museum, Danville, CA
Thursday evening found this artist drawing caricatures at a corporate event at the Blackhawk Automotive Museum in Danville.
Drawing with me was Rasa Vitalia, Caricature/Portrait Artist and Dance Performer.
My first drawing of the evening was a group shot!
Here's another of my quick portrait caricatures from the event.
There's a lot of wonderful art at the museum and around the plaza I'd like to go back and check it out again.
Quite a few years ago I drew at the plaza during the Winter and Spring Holidays.

03-13-11 30th Birthday, Top of the Hill - Daly City, CA
Sunday's event was quick paced for this artist. A lot of group drawings and a little bit of posing for the sketches.
Here are some of my caricature portraits from the evening.
First draw of the evening.
Nice family portrait.
These two posed with attitude.
Big Al Caricature draws at events far and wide across the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Modesto, even down to Tulare, CA and up and over to Reno, Nevada.

03-11-11 Father/Daughter Dinner, Alamo, CA - East Bay
Round Hill Country Club had Wolfgang Niesielski and myself, Big AL, out for the 2nd night of their Father/Daughter event to draw caricatures.
This night we were joined by our colleagues Jodi Carr also drawing caricatures and Carla Winter painting glitter tattoos.
This time it was non-stop (except for a couple of quick breaks). I used 60 sheets of paper drawing the well coiffed young ladies.
Here is a sample of the caricature portraits this artist drew during the evening event.
Special thanks go out to agent/entertainer Carla Winter and her CWE, Carla Winter's Entertainment, for our presence at the event.
Don't forget to visit BigAlArt and check availability for your next party, prom, grad night, etc!

03-09-11 Brentwood, CA 94513 Delta Region or far East Bay
It was great to have an opportunity to draw close to home.
I like to say and think Brentwood is in the Far East Bay.
This past Wednesday I drew caricature portraits about a mile from home.
Students in the Liberty Union High School District.
High Schools have been my bread and butter for most of my caricature career.
Mid May - Mid June is usually the busiest time of year mainly due to high school Grad Nights.
I've also drawn at quite a few Proms and Senior Balls.
It was nice to draw during the day for students.
Here's some of my drawings.
Thanks to Mrs. Judson for arranging my time there.

03-04-11 GLO, San Francisco, SOMA
The first Friday of March found this artist drawing caricatures in San Francisco.
This is the 4th year in a row I've drawn at the GLO staff appreciation event.
I did lots of multiple person drawings. Here's some of the portraits I drew last night.
Next year I should bring bigger paper.
I was asked if I could draw 8 on a page!
Once in awhile I'll draw as many people as can get in front of me, but the evening was still early and I didn't want to wear myself out too soon.
This drawing came out great!
... and another 6 person drawing from the evening.
If I had to choose a favorite draw from last night's event ... this would be it.
These two wanted to look tough.
This was a fun event! I hope to be back next year.

02-26-11 Chase Bank, San Jose, CA - South Bay
The last Saturday of February found this artist drawing caricatures at a Chase Bank in San Jose.
I had an early start to the day. Cooking spanish rice for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary before heading to the south bay.
It was a 10am start time. A 3 hour quick draw session. Sketched about 35-40 faces.
Here are some results from my chisel tip portrait sketches.
